Steve's Review:

The plan seemed simple enough: I needed some time away from work and we needed to save money sending the boys to camp. "Hey, hon, how 'bout I take the boys camping for the first two weeks of summer?"

To be honest, we've never camped more than three or four days in a row. But at $21 a day, where else can we send two boys for $300 for two weeks? We had camped at Mongaup Pong last year and normally it would be my preference to find a new place to try. But in the month of March as I looked to book a campground, there wasn't a campground within 125 miles of New York City that had a single site available in my time window (June 26 to July 10). The problem, apparently, was that all of the sites had been booked already for the July 4th long weekend. The one exception was Mongaup Pond.

[more to come...]

Again, we saw no bear...
